Media Center Overview
The BHS Media Center houses over 15,000 books and numerous multimedia databases, serving as a one-stop shop for your 21st century learning and instructional needs. As the Media & Educational Technology Instructor (METI), Ms. Criss is available to assist with lesson planning and technology integration. Media Center Mission Statement
The Fulton County Schools Media and Educational Technology department promotes academic excellence by empowering student and staff to be effective, discriminating users of ideas and information. Additionally, Fulton County Schools Media and Educational Technology Instructors (METIs) assist instructional staff in using technology effectively for differentiating instruction and providing rigorous, relevant, and engaging learning experiences for all students. The Fulton County Schools Media and Educational Technology department facilitates the development of balanced and relevant collections of digital and print resources for teacher and student use. Digital resources are provided for all students that are accessible anytime, anywhere, on any web-enabled computer, laptop, or mobile device.

Ms. Tina Criss
Tina Criss serves as the Media & Educational Technology Instructor(METI) for Banneker High School. Having joined the Banneker family in 2016, Ms. Criss is dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming space for the students and staff at BHS. Ms. Criss focuses on providing reading materials and resources that suit the needs and interests of her community. She also provides college and career preparatory information, technology integration, and standards-based curriculum planning. MC Hours
We welcome students Monday–Friday from 7:50-8:20 a.m. and thereafter with a pass. Students must have a written media center pass at all other times throughout the school day, including lunch, to enter.
