Mission Statement

Mission: 
The mission of the 3DE Magnet Program is to provide a firm grounding in entrepreneurship, emphasizing innovation and invention. This approach prepares students for the 21st-century workforce by fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills while cultivating a strong desire to learn and grow. The 3DE program at Banneker promotes innovation and entrepreneurship through project-based learning, science fairs, entrepreneurship fairs, design challenges, and technology club competitions. These activities require students to integrate knowledge across disciplines, making them culturally agile critical thinkers who can ask the right questions in various settings.

Vision: 
The 3DE Magnet aims to provide an advanced educational experience by increasing students' pathway completion rates, earning 3DE seals, earning industry seals, and passing relevant assessments. 

Goals: 

The 3DE Magnet Program at Banneker prepares students to connect academic learning with real-world experiences while developing the business, leadership, and professional skills needed for success beyond high school.

  • Complete the Marketing & Management Business Pathway.
  • Engage in authentic Business case challenges throughout 9th and 10th grade, applying academic content to increasingly complex real-world business problems.
  • Apply learning through collaborative, hands-on experiences that build communication, creativity, critical thinking, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Develop and present an entrepreneurial business concept through 11th-grade Market Day.
  • Complete a meaningful 12th-grade Senior Capstone Experience through internships, consulting, entrepreneurship, or work-based learning.
  • Complete volunteer and community service experiences that promote civic responsibility, leadership, and service to others.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including Band, JROTC, athletics, student clubs, and career and technical student organizations such as FBLA.
  • Take advantage of college-readiness and enrichment opportunities such as Upward Bound to strengthen preparation for postsecondary success.
  • Participate in national and international travel experiences that broaden students’ perspectives, provide exposure to diverse cultures and communities, and extend learning beyond the classroom.
  • Pursue advanced academic opportunities through AP and Dual Enrollment coursework.
  • Explore additional career-focused electives and pathways through the Fulton College and Career Academy, including AV & Film, Aviation, Construction, Digital Media & Animation, and Healthcare Science.
  • Graduate from 3DE Banneker prepared to successfully transition into college, career, entrepreneurship, and leadership opportunities.

3DE Banneker Program and Overview: 
The 3DE Magnet Program at Banneker offers a rigorous, standards-based learning environment that integrates real-world connectivity through case study methodology, project-based learning, and real-world experiences.  

The 3DE program employs a multifaceted approach to learning through case methodology, integrating real-world connectivity into the standard high school experience. This approach anchors interdisciplinary pedagogy, meaningful connections, and authentic project-based application in every 3DE school, creating a high school experience that mirrors life's dynamic, interconnected nature beyond the classroom walls. 

3DE Magnet at Banneker dedicated teachers set high expectations and foster a strong sense of community among students. The curriculum builds defined competencies each year, transitioning students from facilitated to self-directed learning. By graduation, students possess the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive in post-secondary education and beyond.

3DE Magnet Location: 
3DE is a school-within-a-school model. All classes are located upstairs on Blackhall. Electives are held outside 3DE, and all 3DE scholars are expected to follow the procedures and policies outlined in the handbook regarding academics, attendance, and behavior.
